How to connect Respond Flow to a form builder

Martin Lien

Connect Respond Flow to any form builder through our Zapier integration.

After reading this step-by-step guide you will be able to connect your Respond Flow account to any form builder tool.

I will use a clothing store called Corner Fabric as an example and walk you through how I would personally connect Respond Flow to a form builder tool to build my contact list.

1. Create a Simple Signup Form.

To begin I would create a form to collect as much information as I can without taking more than 1 minute of my customer’s time. The longer the signup, the more it feels like a burden rather than a reward. I would use a form creator that can integrate with Google Sheets in order to simplify storing your submission. Most form software connects with Google Sheets, but my favorite is Typeform since they have a direct integration. I would make a very simple form to collect First Name, Last Name, Phone, and Email.

2. Connect Typeform to Google Sheets

In order to minimize manual entry and supervision, I would connect the Typeform form to a Google Sheets document. You can do so by going to the “Connect” page within your Typeform landing page, go to the “Integration” section and scroll down until you find the Google Sheets integration. Click the “Connect” button on the right-hand side and follow the instructions until it’s activated.

3. Connect to Respond Flow’s Text Automation Software

Now that you should have your leads information automatically generated on a Google Sheets page you should connect it to your <a href="http://app.respondflow.com/">Respond Flow account. Log in or create an account on Zapier – create a zap that triggers on “New Spreadsheet Row” and make it pull the contacts First Name, Last Name and Number. Select an action zap to “Create Customer” in Respond Flow.

4. Segment Your Users

Every new lead created will automatically be tagged with: "External" and "Zapier". This will allow you to set up automations for only the people who sign up through your Zapier automation. You are also able to manually add tags to contacts directly in Respond Flow if you want to add other custom tags.

5. Start Building Your Community

By now you should have all you need to start building your contact list. We have several blogs about best-practices for texting campaigns that are worth reading up on before starting to text. The secret is to offer value with every message without making it too detailed. Lead customers to a separate RSVP site or send images that hold the event details.
